Salary: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our estimating team. The Estimating Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the preparation and submission of accurate and competitive project bids. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, keen relationship-building skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team in delivering precise and timely estimates.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- • Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications.
- • Evaluates offers to purchase by site requirements, additions, and costing changes.
- • Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
- • Resolve cost differences by analyzing and collecting info.
- • Writes up and presents budgets, reports, and project plans.
- • Develops bids for construction projects.
- • Works closely with architects and other professionals.
- • Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff.
- • Navigates and understands building codes.
- • Processes paperwork and travel to building sites as required.
- • Monitors construction processes.
- • Determines needs for additional staff, machinery, materials, and other resources.
- • Drafts cost estimates for projects based on data analysis and research.
- • Distributes reports to engineers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- • Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.
- • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- • Strong mathematical skills
- • Ability to navigate specifications and plans.
- • Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects.
- • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.
- • Knowledge of the latest building codes.
- • Close attention to detail.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- • Knowledge of Sage 100 Contractor.
Education and Experience:
- • High school diploma or equivalent.
- • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in estimating.
Physical Requirements:
- • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment.
- • Visual acuity to review and analyze data and information.
