Salary: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our estimating team. The Estimating Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the preparation and submission of accurate and competitive project bids. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, keen relationship-building skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team in delivering precise and timely estimates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • • Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications.
  • • Evaluates offers to purchase by site requirements, additions, and costing changes.
  • • Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
  • • Resolve cost differences by analyzing and collecting info.
  • • Writes up and presents budgets, reports, and project plans.
  • • Develops bids for construction projects.
  • • Works closely with architects and other professionals.
  • • Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff.
  • • Navigates and understands building codes.
  • • Processes paperwork and travel to building sites as required.
  • • Monitors construction processes.
  • • Determines needs for additional staff, machinery, materials, and other resources.
  • • Drafts cost estimates for projects based on data analysis and research.
  • • Distributes reports to engineers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • • Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.
  • • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • • Strong mathematical skills
  • • Ability to navigate specifications and plans.
  • • Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects.
  • • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.
  • • Knowledge of the latest building codes.
  • • Close attention to detail.
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • • Knowledge of Sage 100 Contractor.

Education and Experience:

  • • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in estimating.

Physical Requirements:

  • • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment.
  • • Visual acuity to review and analyze data and information.
