Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimating Coordinator to help support our estimating team. The Estimating Coordinator plays a critical role in overseeing the preparation and submission of accurate and competitive project bids. This position requires an organized thinker with strong clerical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to support the team in delivering precise and timely estimates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • • Assists in preparing and estimating budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications.
  • • Evaluates offers to purchase by site requirements, additions, and costing changes and assists a team of estimators in doing so.
  • • Resolves cost differences by coordinating the collection of information related to job sites.
  • • Assists in the writing and presenting of budgets, reports, and project plans.
  • • Coordinates the development of bids for construction projects.
  • • Works closely with various professionals cross departmentally.
  • • Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff.
  • • Navigates and understands building codes.
  • • Processes paperwork and travel to building sites as required.
  • • Monitors construction processes and assists project teams.
  • • Determines needs for machinery, materials, and other resources.
  • • Drafts cost estimates for projects based on data analysis and research.
  • • Distributes reports to engineers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • • Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.
  • • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • • Strong mathematical skills
  • • Ability to navigate specifications and plans.
  • • Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects.
  • • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.
  • • Knowledge of the latest building codes.
  • • Close attention to detail.
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • • Knowledge of Sage 100 Contractor.

Education and Experience:

  • • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in clerical support.
  • • Experience in construction/estimating desired.

Physical Requirements:

  • • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
    • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment.
    • Visual acuity to review and analyze data and information.
