Accounts Payable Clerk (Rocklin, CA)

Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic entry level accounts payable clerk. The best candidate will have good computer skills and be familiar with a paperless environment. Responsible for ensuring company-wide credit card transactions are processed timely and accurately. Must be organized, detail oriented and a team player.

Responsibilities and Key Tasks:

  1. Manage the receipt of credit card logs and receipts from all employees weekly.
  2. Code and route all transactions for approval. Ensuring proper coding for department and
    accounting classification.
  3. Able to work well in Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft programs, especially Excel.
  4. Ability to learn and maneuver between various computer applications.
  1. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Comply with and promote company policies, procedures and ensure proper internal controls are
    being followed.
  3. Assist in monthly credit card reconciliation.
  4. Work on special projects as required.

Performance Standards & Expectations:

  1. Up-to-date computer skills – specifically experience in Microsoft Office.
  2. Experience with Sage 100 Contractor or other Accounting software a plus.
  3. Has a ‘can-do’ attitude and is willing to go the extra mile to get the job done
  4. Has the ability to adapt easily to change
  5. Able to work independently with little instruction in a highly organized manner
  6. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
  7. Strong problem solving skills.
  8. Basic bookkeeping knowledge a plus
  9. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
